AFFIRMATION #1: YOU ARE BRAVE
Welcome to MANTLEWARDEN, a play-by-mail game of surreal storytelling and weird fiction adventure through “the Maze”. You have been chosen to enter the Maze and face its dangers, perhaps even to uncover its secrets... Train as much as you can, keep your Mantle close, and forge a new path through the ever-expanding corridors. What lies at the heart of the Maze? Is it even something you want to discover?
WHAT IS THIS?
MANTLEWARDEN is a storytelling game that is played though the mail. Every month (or so) you’ll receive a physical letter with the next part of your Mantlewarden’s story. From there, you’ll use the self-addressed stamped envelope to send in your response.
MANTLEWARDEN blends the lines between a choose-your-own-adventure game, a roleplaying game, and a live action alternate reality game. It is intended to immerse you, and support whatever your level of engagement is. There’s no right or wrong way to play!
HOW DO I SIGN UP?
MANTLEWARDEN membership is offered as an exclusive benefit to my Patreon supporters at the Platinum level ($20/month) or higher. Participation in MANTLEWARDEN is a reward at this level in addition to several other rewards including a free physical and digital copy of all games I release.
As a note, Mantlewarden is on a temporary hold until I reach my $679/month Patreon funding milestone, which will allow me to bring in assistance from the freelance game designer and author Hilary Umbreit to help.
You can sign up to support me on Patreon and check out all of the extra support level rewards here!
WHAT’S IT LIKE?
